SITE
INFORMATION
All classes and group meals will be held at Point
Plaza Suites and Conference Hotel. A block of rooms is being held
until Sunday, December 11, 2011 for Guilders Weave participants at
the rate of $72 single/double , $77 triple ,$82 quad plus tax per
night for the Deluxe Room or for the Plaza Room (both include
microwave and refrigerator). The two-room Executive Suite includes a
living room with sleeper sofa, a bedroom, kitchen and eating area at
a rate of $99 single/double, $109 triples/quads plus tax per night.
The hotel offers complimentary transportation to and from NN/Williamsburg
airport. For those driving, it is conveniently located near I-64.

REGISTRATION
On arrival, please check in at Guilders
Weave registration to pick up your Welcome Bag. Registration will be
open from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Thursday afternoon, 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Thursday night and Friday morning 7:00 AM to 7:30 AM. Everyone will
need to check in prior to the first class.
VISITOR SHOPPING PASS
A visitor shopping pass is available for those not registered at GW.

HOSPITALITY ROOM
After checking in, join us in our hospitality suite. It will be open
at various times throughout the event and is a good place to relax
and visit with friends. Please do not take drinks or snacks from the
room. The Hospitality Room is located in the Mezzanine Room on the
second floor of the hotel lobby. This area of the hotel is not
handicapped accessible and the only access is a stairway located in
the lobby.
MESSAGE BOARD
Remember to check the message board regularly; announcements, messages, and changes will be posted there.
BASKET SWAP
The Basket Swap allows participants to
exchange one of their very own hand-woven baskets with another
participant. This is an opportunity to share with others. Everyone
can participate regardless of skill level. Bring your basket to the
Basket Swap Table during registration and a volunteer will record
and tag your basket. Thank you to the Deer Creek Diva’s for helping
us again this year with the Basket Swap.
CLASSROOMS
Please note that NO Food or drink, except
water is allowed in the classrooms. NO CELL PHONES may be used during class time. Please turn all phones "off" while in the classroom. If you
must use a phone, please leave the classroom.
RAFFLE
The raffle drawing will be conducted immediately following the banquet
Saturday night. Tickets will be available until drawing time on Saturday at $1 each or 6 for $5.
GUILDERS WEAVE MEMORABILIA
There is memorabilia information and an order form available online.
Memorabilia information will be included with class assignments!
BUFFET LUNCHEON and BANQUET
Your registration fee includes your buffet luncheons Friday and Saturday
AND your banquet dinner on Saturday evening. Tickets will be
in the registration packet. Tickets are required for meals. Guest tickets are available for purchase: Lunch-$21 each day, Banquet- $29 per person. After the banquet dinner we will conduct the raffle drawing and basket swap.
BOX LUNCH-Sunday
An optional boxed lunch will be available for Sunday. It includes: Turkey or Ham sandwich with lettuce and tomato, potato chips, fudge brownie, apple and soft drink. The cost is $13.50. Please be sure you check Turkey or Ham on the order form so we know which you prefer.
MARKETPLACE
Teachers and participants who have
items to sell may do so at our Marketplace. The Marketplace will
be open Friday evening from 7:30 PM till 9:00 PM. If you plan to
participate, contact Susie Waters 757-850-2771 for details or e-mail
guildersweave@tidewaterbasketryguild.org by Oct 10th.
VENDOR
Our exclusive full-line vendor is Suzanne Moore’s North Carolina
Basketworks. Suzanne is a fellow guild member and will provide a variety of basketry supplies.
MASSAGE THERAPIST
Seated massage by a qualified therapist will be availabel for GW attendees. There
will be a sign-up sheet available.
The cost is a dollar a minute. Watch the message board for actual times and further information.
