The Tidewater Basketry Guild is an organization founded for those with an interest in basketry. The guild has over 70 members from Virginia and throughout the country.

Our mission is:

• To preserve standards of excellence in the design and workmanship of basketry.
• To promote public awareness of basketry as a craft and an art.
• To give guidance to weavers of all levels.
• To establish a network for sharing topics of interest.

In doing these things we have tons of fun and learn so much about the art of basketry.
